Thought I'd share an interesting thought from Tozer...

"We are often hindered from giving up our treasures to the Lord out of fear for their safety; this is especially true when those treasures are loved relatives and friends. But we need have no such fears. Our Lord came not to destroy but to save. Everything is safe which we commit to Him, and nothing is really safe which is not so committed. 

Father, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival. Guess where I went today!!! Hershey chocolate world! I was visiting a friend up by Hershey so we stopped by to take the your since I hadn't been in like 10- 15 years.

Over the Hill Party!

We made an iPad cake for mom's surprise b-day party!!! We got everyone to come dressed in black, and then the black icing stained peoples' mouths black too... That wasn't planned... but... as you can imagine, that got some laughs from the ladies.

Moon!!

Supposedly it's a blue full moon. Not sure where the blue part comes from, but it's a nice and full. Pretty evening!!

And while I'm at it, happy birthday to my Mom today!!! I love you!

July Update

I realized it's been a while since I last posted anything on here. I've been busy now that I have joined the working world - my first full time job ever!! I got a call out of the blue at the beginning of the month from the place where I had my first interview back in May. They had hired someone for that job, but they had another position open now, and they said they were interested in me for the job!

Talk about exciting news and an exciting provision of a job. After 15+ job applications and 3 interviews, I really wasn't sure when or where a job might come from... all I knew was that God would provide because He's a God that cares and is faithful. And then the call came. I had to laugh at this one, because just the week before someone from church had said that God would provide a job from where I least expected it. He was dead on right. The job I was hired for was one I hadn't even applied for.

And now I'm working on week 3 of employment! My position is that of FGDM Coordinator - I'm working to help struggling families out and see them get the support they need. I'm still in the training stage, but I'm really excited about this opportunity to help people in my hometown / county.
