Homemade smoothie mix - I froze some yogurt in an ice cube tray, threw those in the Ziploc with my fruits, banana, and some spinach and they're ready to freeze. Now when I'm in the mood for a smoothie, I just have to pull this from the freezer. So helpful, when your produce might go bad otherwise while waiting for you to use it all up.

Someone recently gave me the recipe for tostones - made from plantains and a very common food in Honduras and other Latin places, like Puerto Rico. I highly recommend them and personally think they taste just fine with a little salt on top (rather than dipping them in mojo, an oil and garlic based sauce). But then again, I always went for plain and simple foods instead of adding numerous condiments or sauces.
